Stock Counts
Counting a warehouse shelf by shelf, and turning what you found into an adjustment.
A stock count is the exercise of walking a warehouse and writing down what is actually there. It runs over hours or days, so the system keeps it open while you work and only changes stock at the end.
1Open the list
Go to Inventory → Stock Counts.
The columns are Document number, Name, Warehouse, Status, Counted, Added, Applied as and Opened at.
Two of them are worth knowing:
- Counted reads as a fraction —
43 / 159means forty-three of the hundred and fifty-nine lines have been counted. It is your progress bar. - Applied as names the adjustment the count produced. A count with a document number in that column has already changed stock; a count with a dash has not.
2Start one
Press Open a count. Give it a name that says which count it is — the demo list carries “Physical count 2026 — still to count”, which tells you at a glance what it was for.
What happens next
Counting is done on a phone, on the shop floor, not on this screen. This list is where a count is opened, watched and closed.
The phone side is five screens of its own, at /stock-count, and they have their own pages here — start at On the phone — Counts.
Closing a count does not change stock. Applying it does — and it does so by raising an adjustment, which is why Applied as points at one.
Until that adjustment exists, the count is a record of what you found and nothing more.
